Conte Pastel Pencils

The core of these pastel pencils is slightly harder than traditional soft round pastels so we recommend them for more complex detailed work and subtle shading.

The best effects are achieved when used on white or pale coloured, fine surfaced papers. Their texture makes them suitable for stumping or tortillon work, which gives lovely effects of light and shade.
