Specialist Crafts Lead-Free Speckle Earthenware Brush On Glazes 1L

A range of brush on speckle effect glazes with a soft satin finish by Specialist Crafts. They are lead-free and require 2-3 coats to produce opaque colours which will be brighter in white clay bodies than buff coloured clays. They offer great value for money being supplied in 1 litre tubs. Darker clay bodies naturally contain higher levels of iron, which influences glazes to fire to deeper/warmer tones. To achieve a more accurate and consistent colour match, especially with lighter glazes we recommend using white clay. Produce test tiles to understand the colour changes on different clay bodies once fired. Firing range 1020 - 1080°C.
