Bernette 44 Overlocker

The Bernette 44 FUNLOCK Overlocker provides a straightforward introduction to overlocking, allowing users to sew seams, trim excess fabric and finish raw edges in one operation. With 15 stitch options across 2, 3 and 4-thread overlocking, it offers flexibility for garment construction, textile projects and decorative edge finishes.

The machine features an adjustable overlock seam width of 3–7mm and a 1.5mm rolled hem width, allowing students to explore different seam constructions and narrow decorative finishes. Differential feed helps control fabric movement, reducing unwanted stretching and puckering, particularly when sewing knitted and stretch fabrics.

With sewing speeds of up to 1,300 stitches per minute, the Bernette 44 supports efficient garment assembly and repeated seam finishing. An integrated LED light improves visibility around the needle, while colour-coded threading paths and a manual needle threader make setup more manageable. Frequently used accessories can be stored inside the looper cover, and the included large cut-offs bin collects trimmed fabric during sewing.
